The Fourth Annual Lindsay Schopfer Fan Art Contest is fast approaching, and I am thrilled to see all of the new artwork based on my stories, characters, and creatures. I’m especially excited because this year I have a new book published with eighteen different short stories to provide a wealth of new inspiration for my artistically inclined fans.
But what if you’re not an artist? Is there still some way that you can help make this year’s fan art contest the biggest, best one yet? Yes, there is!
As you may already know, I have a Fan Community on Patreon where some of the fantastic people who love my stories and other content can join me in my creative journey. Folks that join this Community do more than receive access to exclusive, behind-the-scenes benefits. Their small, monthly contributions build towards large-scale, milestone projects such as audio books, video essays, and even tabletop and video games! And it just so happens that our next Community goal is directly tied to the fan art contest.
Once we reach a combined total of twenty patrons or more, I will be able to give bigger and better prizes to the contest category winners. This will improve the contest in a variety of ways:
- It will allow both me and the Fan Community to better show our appreciation for the fantastic work done by the artists
- It will encourage artists to submit more art for other fans to enjoy
- It will encourage professional and semi-professional artists to dedicate some of their valuable time to participate in this event
